Demigirls, also called demiwomen, are a non-binary gender in which the individuals identify with feminine characteristics but do not fully identify as cis women or trans women. A transition is still fundamentally possible in both directions, however.

Demigirls can have any anatomical sex at birth. They can be—based on anatomical characteristics at birth—female, male, or intersex. However, demigirls identify less strongly with the female gender than, for example, cis women or trans women do. Accordingly, demigirls are also assigned to the non-binary gender spectrum.
The gender demigirl or demiwoman does not imply any statements about sexual orientation. Demigirls can be interested in women, men, demigirls, demiboys, or other non-binary individuals. Gender does not make any statement about this.
The counterpart to demigirls are demiboys.
Partner Search for Demigirls at Consonance (Gleichklang)
Through our psychological and queer matchmaking for demigirls, we enable them to have good prospects for a successful partner search. Demigirls receive partner suggestions from people who are themselves skoliosexual—that is, sexually and romantically interested in non-binary individuals.
The search for demigirls as partners is integrated into the module “Matchmaking for Skoliosexual Individuals.”
Additionally, we advise demigirls to describe their gender identity in the free-text field, as this further improves their chances in partner search.
