Despite all social progress, bisexuals still experience a high degree of prejudice and discrimination. This happens not only from the heterosexual majority, but even within the LGBTQ+ community. Bisexuality is often reduced to sexuality, bisexuals are denied the ability or willingness to be monogamous, or conversely, polyamorous, open, or swinger relationships are not recognized as full relationships.
Expressions of discrimination against bisexuality are invisibility, prejudices, and the widespread tendency to either negate bisexuality or reduce it to sexual behavior. These conditions directly affect partner search, relationship stability, and openness in the social environment.
