Understanding Your Suggestions at Consonance (Gleichklang)

Partner and friendship suggestions at Consonance (Gleichklang) are derived on the basis of a mathematical-psychological matching algorithm and made available to members in the participation area. The suggestions can then be marked as interesting, which means that this is also communicated to the suggested person. It is also possible to make immediate contact via email using the confidential cipher system. As many messages can be exchanged reciprocally via the cipher system as desired. If a suggestion appears unsuitable or a communication process proves to be unproductive, it is also possible to delete the respective suggestion. In this case, contact is no longer possible.

To provide an impression of the suggested individuals, our matchmaking service displays a matching profile. This includes information on pseudonym, age, gender, location, school education, vocational training, employment, lifestyle habits (smoking, alcohol consumption, waking times, neatness, possible vegetarianism or veganism), number of children, single parent status, hobbies and interests (areas: television/cinema, music, education, computers, cooking/kitchen, board games, DIY, visual arts, photography/film, cultural events, literature, dancing, health, sports, animals/nature, social commitment, political engagement, communication, money, esotericism, travel) and appearance (areas: height, weight, figure type, body type, hair color, hair length, hair type, eye color, glasses wearer/contact lenses, beard and beard type, chest hair and body hair, as well as one or more uploaded images). A free self-description and edited completion sentences are also displayed. Personality traits are not reported back, as this is a very private matter that concerns solely the individual themselves. What is visible, however, is the extent to which the various overarching trait areas contributed to deriving the suggestion.

The suggestions at Consonance are selective and are without exception characterized by a given compatibility regarding central trait areas. The matching principle consists of using a psychologically sound dating system to derive a number of compatible suggestions over time and until success is achieved (see also: Approach to Matchmaking). The compatibility of lifestyles is paramount in the matchmaking process and underpins the high chances of success for our members. The very high level of soundness of our dating system sets Consonance apart from all other dating sites, dating platforms, matchmaking services, or introduction agencies in the German-speaking internet.
